Execution sequence

  1. Check the assigned exercise, repetitions and load; do not confuse the seven sets with preparation sets.
  2. Perform each set with controlled technique and follow the stated rest.
  3. Record completed sets and any loss of repetitions. Do not extend beyond seven sets unless instructed.

Reading a program example

The source example is seven sets of ten machine leg extensions with twenty to thirty seconds of rest. These are the educational example’s numbers, not a prescription for everyone.

Important distinction

The FST-7 name does not establish permanent fascia stretching or superior growth. A pump is not a measurement of long-term hypertrophy. The volume and fatigue of seven sets must be considered within the whole session.

Check before starting

  • Do not independently add this system to the end of every exercise.
  • Do not push through pain or loss of technique to finish seven sets.
  • Report recovery problems that affect subsequent sessions.

Frequently asked questions

Does FST-7 mean seven different exercises?

No. In the source definition it means seven sets of a specified exercise.

Does a bigger pump prove more growth?

No. Neither the pump sensation nor a system name alone establishes superior muscle growth.
