Execution sequence

  1. Read all three exercises and the repetition or time target that belongs to each.
  2. Perform the first, second and third exercises in order with safe transitions.
  3. Rest after the third exercise and repeat only for the prescribed number of rounds.

Reading a program example

3×(12+12+12) means three rounds of three exercises, each with twelve repetitions. A mixed example is hollow hold + Russian twist + seated band rotation, with 4×30 seconds + 4×30 seconds + 4×12. Each target remains separate.

Important distinction

If the three exercises have different set counts, do not silently convert them into equal rounds. Numbers are read left to right, matching the listed exercise order. Clarify any ambiguity before starting.

Check before starting

  • Do not confuse hold duration with repetition count.
  • Do not sacrifice technique merely to finish the three-exercise sequence.
  • Keep the prescribed rest after a round unless instructed otherwise.

Frequently asked questions

How many exercises make a tri-set?

Exactly three. This page explains how to read the plan, not how to automatically choose suitable exercises for everyone.

What if repetition targets differ?

Each target is displayed separately; for example, 3×12 + 3×10 + 3×8 matches the three exercises in order.
